They say that a person who is ill has only one wish - to get well. Likewise a person who is spiritually sick should want to be cured at all costs. Why is that so difficult?
On the 9th, I would be completing my final major duty to the country during these 2 years of service. I'm supposed to feeling happy about it, but well.. I can't. I came down with a bad flu due to a combination of dust, air-con, crowded conditions, and changing sleeping routines. I developed a slight fever today morning. Even during today's outing I felt too tired to say much.
Anyway, the outing went well. Asaph was pleasantly surprised without being shocked. We saw a lot of cool little stuff at Daiso, but in the end I bought nothing. Perhaps one thing I've learnt recently is that what I really need is some happiness in this sad life.. too bad I didn't find it hanging on a shelf.
KFC's Roller is quite good; it's simplicity keeps the taste of the chicken there. However, during December I've realized fast food isn't all that cheap anymore. Duck rice or chicken rice can fill me for less (if it's not from an overpriced food court). Then there's roti prata, it may be just oil and carbohydrate, but even that seems healthier than the way most fast foods are built around a slab of meat, provided I can burn off the calories. Tasty too.
