How do I convince my heart it deserves the fires of hell?
How may I always look away from iniquity?
Yesterday was trying; when I woke up my ankle had lost it's function. I couldn't even stand. Thank God it improved after compression with socks. Though, I did not go to school, missing out on a Geography lecture and perhaps receiving my RJC math results.
On a lighter note, this disability has taught me to go up and down the stairs only when I have cause to do so.
I just realised that I don't play Dragon Fable or even Adventure Quest much anymore. I simply log in for the storyline as it is released week by week. As such I think it is high time I stop visiting their site day after day (apparently more often than I read the Bible).
In a sense I'm glad I don't do 'farming' anymore. Slowly (or quickly, as in Maple Story) repeating the same steps many times shouldn't have any appeal, yet I, like many others, are willing to do so for the goal of status or power. So the allure of a high level or 'gold' or rare items captured hours of my time. Thus was my folly, for if even earthly physical riches have more value than virtual ones, what more divine riches? (now there are those who sell virtual goods for real cash, but I have not the skill to do alike, neither do I approve of profiting from nothing but the addiction of both myself and others)
So here reality strikes. The dream, a fantasy, must fade away. Indeed it is already much dissipated, yet if not for the recent release of Adventure Quest Worlds my hand may be stayed from vanity. It is well, then, that they should charge gamers a price for bandwidth, sufficient cause for me to depart. It is my wish that after the 'A' Levels, I shall not return to mindless gaming.
