Beta fish

I miss my lost dreams
I hate the nightmare whispers

Ever kept Siamese fighting fish? They're called Betas too. This post was initially meant to examine the blogging habits of Beta Quadra. However, I've since extended it to discuss random stuffs I feel like typing about, and how socionics explains some observations.

I have previously criticised Alpha Quadra by recording the annoying Extraverted Feeling, along with the short-sighted Intraverted Sensing. I'd like to add that Extraverted Intuition tends to be obnoxious and proud.

Now, the problem with blogging Betas is their suppression of Intraverted Feeling. Therefore they tend to refrain from revealing their private emotions. This either takes the form of general blog posts, or very often keeping their blogs private as if it were a diary (which is truthfully difficult to so do on a public medium like the web). What compounds this issue is the use of Intraverted Intuition (of which Gammas are somewhat guilty of too) - by foreseeing the possibility of unwelcome visitors or losing friends due to what they post, they shut up their site to a small circle of friends.

As far as I see, the ESTp does not really like to blog - seeing as they are hands-on people. The ISTj may blog, but if they do so they may not so much share their thoughts as regularly record incidences. Beta humanists, on the other hand, are very likely to blog. In fact, it is possible that the socionic type which has the most bloggers is the INFp. Their Intraverted Intuition gives them insights which they put down in words, while they use Extraverted Feeling to either create poetry/fiction or otherwise type about the social happenings in reality. The ENFj blogs only if they have free time in their hectic social lives; the sporadic posts often contain (negativistic) reflections on their reality.

In another topic, I surmise that the medical community has suitable medical conditions for the ESFp-INTp dyad (of Gamma Quadra). This dyad might be called the odd couple, for the ESFp is hyperactive and the INTp is eccentric. The INTp may be accidentally labelled with Asperger's Disorder due to a tremendous dislike for Extraverted Feeling (social situations) and dominant Intraverted Intuition - giving them a tendency to get lost in their own imagination. Likewise, suppression of Extraverted Intuition actually limits their creative interests, so that they often delve only into familiar topics (which they then become very familiar with).

I may not need to explain why the ESFp is usually gets diagnosed for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder. The fact is that they simply cannot sit still due to Extraverted Sensing and weak Logic. This renders many ESFp's unsuitable for regular education. Now, presenting a good case for the 'principle of duality', it is important for ESFp and INTp people to find each other, for they complement each other. The dullness of the INTp gives the ESFp something to do - wake up the INTp (which the INTp really needs). The uncontrolled impulsiveness of the ESFp is also restrained by the INTp's foresight, and so both personalities benefit.

As far as I have been observing thus far, it isn't always easy to type people into socionic types. Truth is, everyone is special - it's hard to determine their fundamental tendencies, assuming they exist. That is something I shall ponder over. Nonetheless, sufficient evidence is present to show that socionic theory is plausible.

Yes, I realised that I am typing longer posts these days. The free time is sinking in. Without work I can go thinking and typing. Yeah.

I learnt yesterday that my EZ-LINK card now beeps once only! I've lost my subsidised student rate! I'm gonna miss those double beeps T.T Now transport costs is a reality for me.

The weather in December last month was unusually DRY. bleh. I like prolonged heavy thunderstorms, and was actually looking forward to them. Oh well, I hope for that in early January. Once February arrives rain becomes even more unlikely.
