Once upon a time, there was a school named Furscland School. It was a small school, under a small group of senior teachers. It was a well understood rule among the students that everybody drank only from their own water bottle. One day, it was decreed that should someone else break that rule, and use your bottle (contaminating it), you may throw it away and buy another.
There were students unhappy with this rule, of course. They felt that this was not environmentally friendly, and wished that everyone took the trouble to make clean the bottle once more, instead of seeking a new one. Unable to voice their complaint, many such students got themselves transferred to another school. Some discontent students were left, unable to gain transfer, or unconvinced that such a trivial matter was reason enough to leave. A month later, a dozen of these made a secret pact, to be loyal to their cause, and set things right one day. They called themselves the Restorers.
This was their scheme. In twenty years, a few of the Restorers had to become senior teachers (the previous ones having retired). Bidding their time, they would finally raise the issue again. Finding sufficient support, they would then redo the rule such that all students could not truly get rid of their water bottles. Instead, if they did not like to drink from their contaminated bottle, then they didn't drink at all.
Yet, what could happen in those twenty years? Might the school become even more careless and start printing on one side of a paper? Or might it revise the rules to favour the Restorers even before they did anything? Or will some crisis shut the school down (especially because so many students transferred out)? and.. Why does anybody even bother, since very rarely does a bottle lose it's owner?
Okay, enough ranting in a masked language. I have vain imaginations of conspiracy, and had to express it somewhere. Secret Societies ought not be cast in a positive light, anyway..
Things were still a bit boring. Today was (refreshingly) hectic, but I shan't type about it. Yesterday I took to cycling again. I went as far west as I could go - East Coast Park A, then on my way back I detoured north. I went to Kembangan, then east to Bedok, where I bought a bit of soil. From there I finally returned home. It was a bit tiring, but I realised that my natural speed is fast.
I think I'm missing school. I've returned twice this week already, just to tend to a project in the garden. Actually I used to revisit VS for a while too, hope I get over this soon. haha Anyhow, earlier today I got my bike a bit malfunctioned. XD The break seems too tight now (or the wheel is out of place). I must fix that soon..
lol I just got this greeting card from NTU. It's like so weird, to recieve a card from someone you don't know. Such advertisement doesn't sound sincere (eh since when was advertising sincere anyway?).. Either way, I've already ruled out NTU so too bad for them lor. (they're not going to have my brains! : D)
My ex-mortal wants to share a diary: I'm not sure how this will go. XD I may as well just adapt off this blog on my part, since I usually talk little about my life. Oh well.. maybe if I can find some common topic, I can go into detail.
Anyway, one of my goals for these weeks was to type out some essays. Apparently I haven't got round to that yet. I think I need topics first. hm.. I should update my WordPress someday too.
Things always start out best, and wane thereafter..
