Doctrinal Monsoons

Ah, just a play on 'winds of doctrines'. Imagine if a doctrine became strong and prevailing in a direction..

Today's post shall be dedicated to all you ghost-reading parents who come by our blogs but never say a word - thereby infringing our privacy. No, I am not being paranoid, I know you're there.. Yes, you. I don't care if you say 'hi' afterward, but I'd just like you to know that ghost-reading is rude. What, do you fear being unwelcome? That fear is well-grounded, and I will not relieve it. Rather, all the more ought you to stay away from the blogosphere.

Anyhow, I shall treat you to some of my words against the CoF, since so many have wondered why I have refrained from it for so long. Read, and answer if you may, for I would enjoy such feedback. Here are some quotes from me.

We know we are commanded to confess Christ. Yet, I do not think that a person has to take CoF in order to confess Christ before men. Primarily we confess Christ through our testimony, that is, how we live as Christians, refraining from sin and making known the name of Jesus. To reduce such an encompassing aspect of confessing Christ to the CoF is legalism.

Nonetheless, I acknowledge that the CoF is necessary for the church to maintain internal integrity. Yet, I question why even churches with similar theological beliefs require a CoF when a member changes membership. Thus now the beautiful meaning of a young believer confessing their faith in front of the congregation is reduced to a statement of allegiance.

Aside from all that, life has been a bit tougher the past week with a slightly swollen ankle. I can't compare to any previous sprains because this time there's a bruise (bloody patch beneath the skin). Hopefully I can begin running tomorrow.

I still need something to spend my time on. I am also getting very frustrated with socionics and how it seems to limit my options. Something's not right - there has to be a greater range of flexibility than described in here..
