Less art, more craft..

Why is creativity so linked with art? In my opinion, anyone can come up with ideas, but only the artistic have the fine skills needed to make them into reality. I lack those, so I've to come up with designs that can still be crafted, or otherwise develop novel techniques.


I've went hunting for a lot more songs this weekend. Being put behind a PA system has forced me to play some music. Otherwise somebody else will volunteer all their club tracks, and I think that's just really shallow and inapplicable for the Secondary school kids in the room. I can't believe people my age don't do contemporary pop anymore. Or maybe only those who party out into the night care about music. Either way, I need to play the stuff the listeners want to hear.

Incidentally, I wouldn't mind playing the DJ :)
